Kite & Windsurfing

The conditions in Diani are ideal with two major winds providing great opportunities for both Kite and Wind Surfing. The Kaskazi blows onshore from the North and is commonly known as the Baridi (Cold) in Kiswahili, which blows steadily from around mid December through to the end of February, blowing between 15 and 25 knots. The Kuzi – the second less strong of the trade winds – blows onshore from the South and is also known as the Monsoon and reaches a range of 10 to 22 knots. Equipment hire and lessons can be arranged directly at H2O Extreme who are located just 30m along the beach from us. For more information please visit https://www.h2o-extreme.com/

Snorkelling & SUP

If you fancy a spot of snorkelling, just grab the gear from our surf school and head on out to the reef which is around half a kilometre off shore. If the swim seems a little much, jump on board Almanara’s “Ngalawa” (the locals hand crafted sailing boat) and head out to the sand islands that pop out of the turquoise waters at low tide. This trip is truly awe inspiring as you sail over the coral reefs before arriving at the stunning sand island where you can look at back at the whole of Diani beach from the reef. Stand Up Paddle boarding is also available. Grab the board and head out at low tide where dolphin and turtle spotting are commonplace
